How punishment should be given to Judges.
If a person goes and steals
some money from a shop and comes, then the Judge might give him one month or
two months or whatever the Judge feels like.
However, if a person working in a bank steals money from the bank, then
he should be given the maximum period of five years. Because, people who are blind come there
trust him and give him money. People who
are mentally challenged, come there trust him and give him money. His job is to protect that money, when he
steals, he should be given the maximum punishment, as it is the biggest breach of
trust.
Similarly, the duty of a Judge
is to uphold the laws, when they break the law, they should be given the
maximum prison sentence as it is the biggest breach of Trust. They should be charged with obstruction of
Justice, the maximum punishment for which is ten years. They should be sent to prison for ten
years. That is what the Supreme Court of
India does.
